Hi. I'm an actor based in Providence Rhode Island. Since 1999, I've been a member of the resident acting company at Providence's Tony Award winning regional theater, Trinity Rep, where I've performed in over 80 productions. I spent two seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and have performed at The Wallis Annenberg Center, The Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Gamm Theatre, and others. I got my MFA from the Trinity Rep Conservatory, and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. I was a 2018 Lunt-Fontanne Fellow. I've narrated many audiobooks, the most recent ones recorded in my home studio. I'm an improviser: I was a founding member of Improv Jones and for years ran the Providence Improv Fest. I teach Effective Communication to grad students and doctoral candidates, and have taught Acting, Improv, and Shakespeare for decades to teenagers, college students, and adults. I work as a Presentation Coach/Communication Consultant. I grew up in Northern Vermont, and live in Riverside, RI with my two kids and my very devoted cat, Eleanor Shellstrop.
